Lighting Derby, the street lighting PFI for Derby city, is proud to report its achievement of reaching and exceeding 2000 days Lost Time Incident (LTI) free. The team had recently attended a health and safety stand down session where Balfour Beatty’s CEO Leo Quinn’s message of “live and breathe safety” was a key feature.
Paul Slade, Contract Manager, said "I am delighted that we have achieved in excess of 2000 days without anLTI. This is only possible as a result of the dedication and commitment of the team to really believing in safety, not just saying that they do.
Such a high number of days without incident shows that health and safety is at the forefront of people’s minds. The challenge now is for the number of LTI free days to continue to rise and we can only achieve this by ensuring none of us become complacent in our activities.”
