Using technology to be lean and safe

CCTV technology has been adapted to add to the armory in our crusade to reduce and hopefully eliminate road worker abuse. Just recently, on the M77 - Glasgow Southern Orbital concession, Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering has successfully completed trials of a vehicle cab mounted system.

The system provides useful (and as importantly useable) footage for traffic management violations by the road user.

On a more positive note it also records evidential data for traffic management installation audits and carriageway condition surveys reducing the need for inspections to be undertaken from the potentially hazardous road side.
